The Province of British Columbia boasts more birds than any other province. The
west coast of Vancouver Island is a particularly rich area to see birds such as
the great blue heron, Canada geese, bald eagles, turkey vultures, humming birds
and the local all season Raven. The more elusive birds such as woodpeckers, quail,
owls and other bush birds can only be seen in more isolated areas of the district
from Sooke to Port Renfrew.
Bird watching package tours or marine eco tours
These are custom tours, just your
party and the guide.
You decide what eco niche you want to explore: marine,
alpine or meadow.
The bird watching locations will depend upon the season
you book, and will include other fauna such as deer and squirrels as well as insects
and butterflies.
Local flora will be examined such as pine cones/nuts, mushrooms,
moss and ferns in relation to the resident and migratory birds.
